I’m ready for another “Cowabunga” period in my life! Nice job Matt, as usual!
Steve- For me, Robot Beach ended up being that “Cowabunga” moment. Ever since I was a child I wanted to do a comic strip. It took me maybe 20 years of fighting doubt and pessimism to get myself to a place where I was finally ready to try it. Then it was just a matter of ignoring that little voice in my head that tells me I will fail. The hardest part was saying: “Oh, What the heck!” and just jumping in.

Don’t ever doubt yourself, Matt. You’re a great talent – you gracefully walk a tricky, tenuous line with your balanced artistic eye, humor, and timing. You have amazed me for many, many years. And I mean that in the best possible way, of course.
You are also blessed with the courage to take that Cowabunga step. How many of us stew in the juices of “what if”? And all because we don’t have the courage to just take a chance.
