  1. I found this hilarious! I also thought about audiences once more. It’s both the blessing and the bane of this genre that they cannot be pigeon-holed into “kid-friendly” or “adult”. There is an emerging demographic, it seems, of “kiddults” (no, not Man-babies *shudders*) – guys (like me for instance) who are nostalgic about things from their childhood, but like a bit of adult humor thrown in from time to time. Keep being true to what Robot Beach is, Matt. I hope you never feel the need to censor yourself for fear of offending the wrong crowd.

And I thought seagulls were odd lovers…

  3. Chris says:

That’s excellent, your right he is cute, and the punch line is perfect.

  4. James says:

    Is that even possible?

You know what, forget I even asked.

  5. russ says:

    Its a jellybot!

  6. malrd7 says:

Does Carl’s cigar ever get short? I know mine does! The little guy is great add.

  7. Matt says:

Flawed – Yeah, I am never going to put the “kid friendly” tag on my strip, but honestly this is no different than anything I watched as a child. In many respects, this is FAR tamer than what children’s entertainment used to be. I’ll point to a recent strip by Tony Piro as an example: http://www.calamitiesofnature.com/archive/?c=343

Splox5 – Listen, when your are trapped on a small island, you’ll turn to wherever you can find affection.

    Chris – Thanks man!

James – Let’s just move on and pretend it didn’t happen

    Russ – Quick Copyright it!

Malrd – He is a chain smoker so I imagine it’s a new cigar every strip!
