075 – I am Dead

There were many ways I could have drawn this one up, but I chose to do it this way because, well, frankly I really like drawing the island. I think I might have mentioned this before, but the island itself is as much of a character as Robot or Crab is.

Hope you enjoy!

Sweet, this island comes with a fridge! :D

  2. Chris says:

Awesome that a fridge outlasted all that other stuff. The power of plastic I suppose.

  3. drewbie says:

Is there an Indiana Jones skeleton inside the fridge?

  4. freebird says:

    what is this??? LOST?

  5. Charles says:

What happened to all the little communal robots?

  6. Mike M says:

Don’t watch it either. Got to admit it made me think of it a little bit. Probably just a synaptic connection between their commercials and your first panel. Carl still kills me . . . :)

Here is my impression of every episode of Lost ever:

Guy 1: “Follow me to the ____ or I shoot your friend.”
Guy 2: “I thought you blew up the ____.”
      Guy 1: “I lied.”

My impression of Lost was “the writers are making this up as they go along, hoping it turns out well. I got the same feeling about Heroes.

        • Moroni says:

I’ve been watching LOST for a long time and I’ve actually come to find that it has a very complex and interesting story to it. The problem with that story, is that if you don’t start at the beginning and watch the whole thing, you indeed will easily be “Lost”.

I watch lost, and the fact that there is an island at all is where the similarities end. This island is so much more fun. By the way, since Carl is a scavenger at heart, shouldn’t he be raiding that fridge? Where did this trash come from?!?

  8. russ says:

Oh- and I love how it looks like a huge hunk of rock is singing a song about being dead. Very nicely done!

  9. AlphaCroc says:

lol i thought he was drunk cuase he was singing

  10. Dan Long says:

I really like the rocky effect in the first panel. Well done, sir.

  11. PJ Grogan says:

Interesting concept. Usually, you think of the environment the characters are living in as a set, not another character. Hmmm, really enjoying this storyline and strip.

I feel so compelled to say “quit being such a Carl” to the dramatic people in my life. =P I know quite a few like him. XD
