This sets up so much possibility! Super Squidbot reminds of the trash heap mamma thing from “Fraggle Rock,” except not stationary. Also, what is up with the vending machine? It looks like it’s in the left eye, close up, in this strip and the last, but not in the first panel of this strip.

larry is so going to love this huge junkyard of the great ancestors…after all he’s a seagull…
that ford fairlane part hinted on above, gave me the idea that this might be the remains of us humans…holycrap, this is like in the planet of the apes where you’d realize in the end that it was earth…
maybe these are the remains of atlantis uuhm atlantic city..

Sweet, the tail fin of the Ford Fairlane is still going strong after 2700 years, at least we know somethings that are awesome will continue to last on.

I’m really eager to see where this story arc is heading to, and what lies ahead for Robot Beach.

Yeah, Honestly though, after I get this backstory built out, I am just going to spend a few years having fun and telling jokes.Those who start reading later can go back through the archives and find this stuff, but this isn’t going to be the general tone of the strip.
I’ve just gotta get this part of the story done with so we can move on. Only one more week!

The only downside I see is that first time readers might be confused, but that’s what your archive is for.

I’m glad you’ll be updating more regularly, because I want to see where this story goes fast!

The meta-story is becoming more and more apparent, but my first thought when reading this is “more farting jellyfish, please”. I love where this is going; I love the scenario… but I think we might be seeing a downside to telling this kind of story in this kind of format. I will continue reading, eager to see where it goes and how it gets there!
