I’ve been doing some fun little “gag images” for the Float Learning site for a while now and it has been a fun opportunity for me to play around with some different techniques and really stretch my creative muscles a bit outside of the constraints of Robot Beach. (i.e. I get to draw humans) Most recently, I got an opportunity to put together a nice three panel strip for the site. Check it out!
Also, Christopher Toumanian, inspired by the hilarious Garfield Minus Garfield strips, decided to re-imaging Robot Beach as if Larry and Carl never talked. He calls it “Robot Beach Minus Talking Animals” and it totally made me laugh!
If you find more strips that you think would lend itself to this theme, feel free to play with them and send them in. I’ll be sure to get them posted.

Lenwood Brown (Who I believe is himself, a firefighter) has taken things up a notch or two by putting together this awesome strip! I love the idea of Robot with a metal fire suit!

I recently stumbled across a collection of Bill Watterson’s work from his college days. Back then, Calvin was only a twinkle in Watterson’s eye, but these comics give us a rare glimpse at the seeds of what would become perhaps the greatest comic strip of all time.
